I've always been jealous of those selected few who get to see an upcoming film…
Ward Bergan: Strides
A good college friend of mine has just finished a really interesting short film about Jesse Owens. The trailer can be seen here. Ward and I attended Villanova together and have had some awesome times working on movies and editing side projects. Ward was actually the one who let me use his machine to edit my first ski movie which then got me a job at the World Bank… so I’m forever in his debt. I’m very excited for him and hope that this allows others to see his talent. The 5 star review from the thousands of views tells the tail. Keep it up Ward! 😉

Thanks for the Post Kenall, I have gotten alot of great reviews- can’t wait for you to see the whole thing!
Sure thing Ward. I’m very proud to have worked with you on our first ski video and I have to admit that I’m super pumped to see the whole thing.
I was watching the track events from Berlin over the weekend and they showed clips of the Nazi era 1936 olymipics that Jesse Owens participated in. I immediately thought of Ted Betz’s movie “Strides”. If you haven’t watched Strides, I would highly recommend it!

Personally, I think films shots entirely in front of a green or blue screen are rather cheesy. That’s correct, I’m not a fan of high concept Hollywood popcorn flicks, either.
Kendall, you know “Ward Bergan” is really Ted Betz trying to be pretentious by reinventing himself with another name. Ted was always very expert at playing the role of a filmmaker, in love with the very idea of it all. But really, he should take daddy’s money and just make a gritty low budget drama along the lines of a Dogme 95 film, free of all the bullshit like special effects and CGI.
Ted, stop trying to be another Michael Bay, for God’s sake.
Amazing blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere? A design like yours with a few simple tweeks would really make my blog stand out. Please let me know where you got your design. Thanks a lot
