Any way you look at this, it is sad. On the subject of being smart…
My meeting with James D. Wolfensohn
Tonight’s dance lesson was pretty neat because it’s all starting to come together. Carlos was teaching me this one move, which in some cases requires him to play the female role. So I’m standing there holding this guy who’s trying to teach me how to dance and this beautiful girl walks by and gives us this funny look. I was like- hmm… I look really wierd right now, so I invited her to come and dance. She took me up on the offer and Carlos quickly jumped on idea that he could sign her up for lessons. So he taught her the basic step and passes her back off to me. It was really fun. I hope she shows up on Tuesday, not only because it will be my first refferal to Carlos, but because she seems like fun.
I got to meet James D. Wolfensohn, the president of the World Bank, today. He was giving a speech at a party to celebrate the end of the fiscial year. They played this five minute long video about what the bank has done this year and showed pictures of everything from the Anthrax scare in the basement (which i pass everyday) to good ole GW Bush when he came to visit. Who ever made the video did a good job. I wish I could post it here, but the guy I was asking it for told me that it won’t be posted on the Internet for a while because of copyright issues.
